Each piece of artwork I create becomes a conversation point that not only looks good but evokes intriguing reminders of the good things in our world. I hope to continually evolve as an artist and show more sides of my creativity.

I started making multidimensional art in 2024 after joining a mosaic-making class in Cairns. It was a launching pad for me to explore different materials and formats, rather than traditional mosaics. My background in textile design and painting was rooted in one-dimensional outcomes, and I now use my training and design expertise to create multidimensional art that is unique in its style and form.

I was born in the UK, where I trained in textile design and then worked with an acclaimed textile design firm in London. This led me to travel the world selling the designs and attending various international trade shows. I traveled to Australia a few times and fell in love with the country, eventually moving to Sydney in 1999. I worked for an iconic Australian bedding firm, designing merchandise. In 2008, I moved to Adelaide after meeting my life partner, and a year later, we moved to Cairns seeking a new life together.
My world changed in 2013 when I suffered a near-fatal brain hemorrhage, the impact of which is still evident today. It took a while (years) to reclaim the confidence to attempt creating art again. Fortunately, the creative part of my brain was not affected, and eventually, I found a renewed love for design and creativity.
When you have a disability, you are often defined by what you cannot do. I am determined now to be defined by what I can do.
